Demure Nicole Kidman gives a glimpse of her cheeky side at Cannes Film Festival

By Daily Mail Reporter
Her cream dress was ostensibly demure, but Nicole Kidman gave a glimpse of her cheeky side during a candid moment at the Cannes Film Festival.
The Australian actress, 44, arrived in a belted lace frock and peep toe heels for press interviews by the seaside in the South of France.
But between press interviews, the mother-of-two took a moment to kick off her heels and relax on the sand and at one point revealed her surprisingly shapely derriere.

The mother of four is in town to promote her new film The Paperboy, will be screened later in the week and was joined by her younger co-star Zac Efron.

The film is being described as an 'explosive sexual thriller,' and Kidman sheds her usual 'English rose' look of fair skin and red hair, for a golden tan, heavy make-up and a platinum wig for the part.

Efron has described his love scenes with the Australian star as the 'highlight of my life.'
He recently admitted he feels 'very lucky' to have secured a serious career after High School Musical.
The 24-year-old turned down several roles after shooting to fame in the Disney franchise because he wants to have a long career, rather than make easy choices and keep his teenage fanbase.

He said: 'There were several avenues I could've gone down after High School Musical, but I looked at the long term.
'I want to be doing this for a long time, so I wanted to make this transition slowly. It wasn't so much about keeping the fans but about making sure I was able to focus on my craft and really take a step back, work hard, work with great directors and have a graceful transition.
'It was slow, but I look back at every director I worked with on these films and they are guys I've learnt so much from.

The Paperboy is based on the novel by Peter Dexter, who wrote the screenplay for Mulholland Falls.

Director, Lee Daniels recently revealed that casting the film 'was a circus.'
He told the The Hollywood Reporter: 'It was crazy. We kept losing actors because we kept pushing the start date. We started out with one cast and ended up with another.

Anything but blue: Vanessa Hudgens wears a happy smile as she steps out in a summery turquoise mini-dress

By Aislin Taylor
Vanessa Hudgens has the uncanny ability to make even the most simple of ensembles bohemian.
The 23-year-old actress could have looked downright sweet in her turquoise mini-dress, but managed to give the outfit hippie flair.
She showed off her typical flower power style today while meeting up with a male friend in West Hollywood, California.

The crochet top she wore over her frock would typically have showed her midriff, though she opted to hide her stomach today.

She added other beatnik touches to her look, like a pair of 70s-style clogs and a braided friendship bracelet.

Her oversized sunglasses and plethora of funky cocktail rings added modern touches to her getup.

The Sucker Punch star also sported a nasty-looking cut on her right calf, which could have been the result of a razor nick.

She seemed overcome with happiness, unable to contain her smile of glee though her ever-present boyfriend was noticeably absent.

It's rare to see Hudgens not only with another man, but without Austin Butler by her side.

Big hair and tiny attire: Eva Longoria steps out with a voluminous style and parades her pins in a minidress

By Jade Watkins

They say in Texas, their ladies love big hair.
And today Lone Star state native Eva Longoria wore her famous glossy tresses in a voluminous style.
The pint-sized 37-year-old also paraded her slim pins in a tiny navy blue minidress as she ran errands in New York City.

The Desperate Housewives star boosted her small height with a pair of towering black leather platform pumps and carried a Fendi shopping bag, which held what appeared to be a pale pink pashmina.
She also alternated with a tan leather Hermes bag, a leathergood she tends to favour.
Seemingly just had her hair coiffed, Eva was well protected by an umbrella, which was held over her head by a security guard as she made her way around Manhattan.

The actress is currently winding down from ending her stint on her long-running drama series Desperate Housewives.
Last week after an eight series and a spectacular eight year run, the famous faces of Wisteria Lane said a final emotional goodbye.
The cast and crew of the show gathered at the W Hotel in Hollywood, California, for a finale party.
While Felicity Huffman completely stole the show in a figure-hugging red dress, Eva looked stunning in a simple short pink dress, in the exact same style she wore today.
The cut of the dress appears to be a winning one, showing off her enviable figure as it clings to her body in all the right places.

The Texan star, who played Gabrielle Solis on the show, was full of smiles on the night despite the emotional end of the programme which made her a global name.
In fact she and close friend Huffman larked around on the red carpet and shared a joke.
The stars of the show put on their glam outfits to give a fitting end to the long running show, but two of its main actors were noticeable by their absence.

Both Teri Hatcher and Marcia Cross were missing in action as their co-stars Huffman, Brenda Strong, Vanessa Williams and Eva put on a display of unity.
Eva flew back especially for the event from Washington DC, where she attended the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
'I wouldn’t have missed this for the world,' Eva told Access Hollywood.

'Eight years! Wrapping it up is so hard to do, because it’s just such a big part of all of our lives. It changed my life completely — in every single way.'
She said she and her missing co-stars Hatcher and Cross said their emotional goodbyes on the very last day of filming.
'We got to say goodbye when we filmed,' Eva said. 'Marcia was supposed to be here, but something happened… We’re really close, so I’m going to be seeing a lot of Marcia.'

She added that fans of the show are in for a treat with the finale.
'Wrapping all of it up, took all season. That’s why we wanted to do it this way, knowing this was going to be our last year,' she said.
'So Marc (Cherry) really serviced each of the characters in a way that would satisfy everybody in the end.'

By Daily Mail Reporter

She recently dyed her brunette locks a lighter shade and continues to cross over to the fair side.
And with her new flaxen tresses, Olivia Wilde has now channeled another famous blonde.
The 28-year-old bore a resemblance to Marilyn Monroe as she shot a commercial for Revlon cosmetics in rainy New York City today.

In a demure white dress she posed on the pavement in Manhattan.
The sight was somewhat reminiscent to the iconic image of the Fifties star standing over an air shaft in that famous street grate scene from the film The Seven Year Itch.
The actress's complexion was flawless for the latest beauty campaign, with lashings of red lipstick applied to her lips and a slight smokey eye.
The scene shows Olivia emerging from a Brownstone apartment in a beige trench jacket.
Skipping happily down the stairs, she removes her coat to reveal a pretty pleated dress and  continues her jovial walk along the street.
Olivia has been a spokeswoman for the beauty giant since last year, and her first TV spot for the company was last month, when she appeared in a commercial for their PhotoReady 3D Volume Mascara.
Recently Olivia revealed her beauty secrets to New York Times’s T Magazine.
She told the publication that washing her face was the number one priority in her beauty regime.
'I usually wash (it) twice. First, to remove all the makeup, and then again to really give my face a good scrub,' she said.

'In order to give my skin a rest,' she explained.

The star also revealed that she never tweezers her eyebrows, preferring them to grow for several years ungroomed.
'I’ve been letting them grow in for years,” she said.
'I try to fill them in wherever nature has abandoned me. I just fill in under the arch and soften them up a bit.'

Actress who won Bafta for portrayal of young offender drunkenly assaulted and racially abused taxi driver

Bafta-winning actress Lauren Socha arrives at Derby Crown Court where she received a four-month suspended jail sentence
A Bafta-winning actress lauded for her portrayal of a young offender was herself sentenced to community service yesterday for a drunken racial assault on an Asian taxi driver.
Lauren Socha, 21, who played foul-mouthed Kelly Bailey in the Channel 4 show Misfits, admitted she hit Sarkander Iqbal in the face while screaming racist abuse after a nine-hour wine and lager binge in October.
She was handed a four-month suspended jail sentence and will have to do 80 hours’ unpaid work – a similar sentence to the one her character faced in Misfits.
After yesterday’s hearing, Mr Iqbal described the attack in which Socha called him a ‘Paki’ and threatened: ‘You don’t know who I am.’
The taxi driver managed to record part of the verbal assault on his mobile phone. In the recording Socha can be heard screaming that she will get his family ‘lifted’ out of the UK before launching into a series of insults.
Socha, who wept as she sat in the dock, had originally denied racial assault but changed her plea to guilty on the first day of her trial at Derby Crown Court.
Mr Iqbal, a 52-year-old father of two who has driven taxis for 22 years, told how Socha called him ‘every name under the sun’ during the attack.
He said: ‘It was terrible. She called me a Paki, a dirty b******, told me to **** off back to my own country and asked what I was doing here because I was Asian.’
Socha launched into her tirade against Mr Iqbal after she accused him of going the wrong way when he drove her and a friend home from another house in Derby at about 1.15am on October 1.
When the taxi driver told her he knew what he was doing, she ‘lost it’, according to Mr Iqbal.
Socha had been hailed as one of Britain’s rising stars following a string of gritty roles.

She was nominated for a Bafta in 2010 for her breakthrough role in The Unloved, a film about a girl growing up in the care system.
She also starred in BBC1’s mini- series Five Daughters, the story of the Ipswich murders, before winning the best supporting actress Bafta last year for Misfits.
Mr Iqbal said: ‘I wasn’t aware who she was. To me she was just another passenger. I was shocked when I heard she was a Bafta-winning actress. If you’re in the public eye, you have to set an example. The way she behaved was not good. She was racist.’
Socha pleaded guilty on the basis she had ‘finger-prodded’ Mr Iqbal rather than punched him. But prosecutor Sarah Allen said he had suffered swelling to the face after the attack.

Judge Hilary Watson said: ‘She may have to acknowledge she was so intoxicated her recollection is marred. His recollection was not marred. He was driving a vehicle.’ The judge added: ‘It appears to me that you just lost it. You began to use foul and blatant racism. Your conduct on that night was despicable.’
Socha – who has previously publicly claimed anyone who calls a person a ‘chav’ is racist – was also told to pay £450 compensation to Mr Iqbal, and £750 costs.
Mark van der Zwart, defending, said: ‘She sincerely apologises to Mr Iqbal. She has done extremely well for herself, to say the least, and her own behaviour will undoubtedly affect that. She hopes her remorse and explanation will allow her to move on.’

That's a VERY public display of affection! Victoria Beckham giggles in embarrassment as she and David pucker up for the KissCam

By Georgina Littlejohn and Leah Simpson
It's one thing to sneak a cheeky kiss to your other half when no one is looking. But it's quite another to have almost 20,000 people cheering you on when you do - just ask Victoria Beckham.
The fashion designer was left giggling in embarrassment last night as she and husband David, who today turns 37, were caught on the LA Lakers KissCam as they watched the game from the front row.

And despite her mortification as she and David flashed on the screen, she had no problem puckering up to her handsome footballer beau as the Staples Center crowd - including David's sister and mother - laughed and applauded them.
And they actually looked absolutely delighted to have been singled out by the KissCam, which focuses on couples during an event at the venue.

The couple were probably targeted because they had been very affectionate with each other through the game between the Lakers and the Denver Nuggets
Victoria in particular who appeared quite distracted as she joined her man for their courtside date.

The 38-year-old could be seen whispering to her sports star husband, rather than watching the action on court.
At one point, Victoria wrapped her right arm around the shoulder of her beau, 37, in order to quietly talk to him as the couple enjoyed a date night at the Los Angeles Staples Center.

Whatever the vital information was that she needed to tell David during the intense game, he initially leant a casual ear before finding something amusing and bursting into laughter.
The couple – who are parents to Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, nine, Cruz, six, and Harper nine months – left their children at home as they enjoyed some grown up time alone.
The two, who got married in 1999, made time for romance as they behaved affectionately with each other throughout event.
