She had a dramatic breakdown five weeks ago – but Demi Moore’s return to Los Angeles was a much more understated affair.
The actress arrived by private jet in the dead of night following more than a month in rehab.
She
had remained in hiding after leaving the unnamed clinic, holidaying on
the private Caribbean island of Parrot Cay, where her ex-husband Bruce
Willis owns a house.

And the break appeared to have done her good, as she appeared tanned and healthy in a baggy white jumper and denim shorts.
Demi was accompanied by
close friend Eric Buterbaugh and was met at the airport by a woman who
she rushed to embrace after descending the stairs of the plane.
It
was the first time the 49-year-old has been seen in public since she
was hospitalised after having a seizure and collapsing in January.

She had reportedly been smoking ‘an incense-like substance’ as well as inhaling nitrous oxide, better known as laughing gas.
The
incident came at the end of a difficult time for Miss Moore, who split
from husband Ashton Kutcher, 33, in November after he was accused of
cheating on her.
Ashton,
33 and her ex-husband Bruce Willis both visited her shortly afterwards
at the home she shares with her three daughters, Rumer, 23, Scout, 20,
and Tallulah, 17.

The 911 call made from Demi's home was released, in which a caller says the actress appeared to be convulsing.
The
actress had sparked concern with her plummeting weight during her
public appearances in the weeks following her split from Kutcher,
eventually dropping to less than seven stone.
Demi
has since pulled out of starring as feminist Gloria Steinem in Lovelace
- a biopic about porn star Linda Lovelace - and has been replaced by
Sarah Jessica Parker.
