It doesn't sound very appetising but a shade of lipstick, nicknamed 'Pepto Pink', has been hailed the beauty world's hottest new must-have.
Variations on the chalky, opaque hue have most recently been spotted on Blake Lively, Nicki Minaj and Kelly Osbourne, while countless other stars have been working softer takes on the look.
Though red has long been the go-to colour for fans of glamour, the new alternative brings a more youthful and playful feel to the look.
More than medicinal: Make-up artist Rachel Wood
called Blake Lively's look 'hot, saying: 'Blake's bright pink statement
lips are right on trend. It's like a carry on from the colour blocking
trend'
From blue-based hues to shades of a deeper magenta, stars like Katie Perry, Melissa George and Julianne Moore have been opting for the candy-coloured lipstick often to offset a chic, monochromatic outfit.
And surprisingly it doesn't clash with the red carpet as Christina Ricci proved at the Berlinale film festival this month where she showed German fans how to pout in pretty pink at the premiere of her latest flick, Bel Ami.

Rachel Wood, a celebrity make-up artist who has worked with Lily Cole and Olivia Palermo, gave MailOnline her thoughts on Blake
Lively's look.
'Blake's bright pink statement lips are right on trend,' she said. 'It's
like a carry on from the colour blocking trend. Bright lips that are
full on and opaque - no gloss or shimmer - are super hot.
'Blake is wearing this trend perfectly because the rest of her makeup is kept simple and fresh leaving the lips to be the full focus. This creates a look that is fashionable not overdone.'
The real deal: Pepto Bismol for upset stomachs and indigestion is famously used as a hangover cure
'Blake is wearing this trend perfectly because the rest of her makeup is kept simple and fresh leaving the lips to be the full focus. This creates a look that is fashionable not overdone.'
InStyle magazine echoed this assessment. Its beauty editors suggested: 'Keep your cheeks blush-free. Too much pink on your face will channel the '80s - not in a good way.'
The fashion glossy predicted that pink lips will be a colour choice through spring and summer.
For medium or olive complexions, its experts recommended a dusty rose or mauve tone while those with darker skin tones should try brighter shades with blue undertones.
Neon pink has appeared not only on the lips of celebrities but on the runways too. Pepto pink appeared in the spring/summer shows of Valentino, Acne, Marni and Costume National.
In Style commented that any shape or sized person can wear this shade of pink as long as the silhouette is chosen wisely.
Both Viola Davis and Kate Bosworth have been spotted recently at events clothed in the colour.
Make-up expert Ms Wood expanded on the hot pink lipstick trend revealing the other colours that we'll be seeing more of this spring.
'Besides Pepto pink, tomato red and bright coral are also big news in the lipstick world,' she revealed.

Diane von Furstenberg, Jenny Packham, Marchesa, Michael Kors and Jason Wu all sent scarlet-clad ladies down the runway and while red carpets may be ready for pink we doubt a red gown will be quite as forgiving.
